Nick woke up early, and Judy was still lying next to him, still holding on to his paw. He smiled to himself, seeing her perfectly calm and sleeping. He managed to escape the bed without disturbing Judy, who was still tired from the ordeal from last night, and went into the kitchen to make breakfast for Judy and him.

Judy got up a little later and drowsily walked into the kitchen, wearing just her undies and the sweatshirt with a heart on the chest that Nick had bought for her. Nick had already brewed his daily pot of coffee and was preparing a sizzling dish of stir-fried vegetables while in another pan, he was frying up some crickets for himself. He realized that the tempting aromas are what had probably awakened Judy from her sleep. She made a small jump and sat on the counter across from Nick and rubbed her sleepy eyes that were barely open.

“Mm…where’s breakfast?” she groggily asked. She clearly wasn’t ready to get up yet, but being the early-riser that she usually was, she couldn’t help it. Nick turned his head and body slightly to face her.

“I’m looking at it,” he said, waggling his eyebrows.

“Hmm?” Judy said, giving him a confused look, oblivious to the joke. She was still rubbing her right eye, obviously very tired. Nick wondered how she was able to make it to the kitchen to begin with.

Nick chuckled and walked over to Judy, gently cradling her cheek in his right paw. “Alright, my honey-bun. How about you get just a little more shut-eye, and I’ll bring you breakfast in bed, okay?”

Judy grabbed his paw and held it in place on her cheek. “Mmm, okay,” she muttered with a sweet smile on her face as she rubbed her cheek into his paw. Nick’s heart melted at the exquisite sight of the love of his life as he smiled back as well.

“You are so adorable when you’re tired.” he said to her.

“Am I ever not adorable to you?”

“Nope.”

Judy giggled and slipped off the counter, making her way back to the bedroom while Nick finished cooking breakfast. She climbed into their bed again, and pulled the comforter over her. She just simply lay in the bed, taking in the combined scent of Nick’s musk still on the sheets and the sweet aroma of cooking from the kitchen. Not long after, Nick came in with the two bowls containing the meal and two mugs -- one that had his coffee prepared just as he liked it, sweet and strong just like his bunny, and tea for her, knowing that bunnies couldn’t handle coffee like other mammals. He handed Judy the bowl with more vegetables and her mug and sat down on the edge of the bed next to her. Judy sat up and moved over to lean into him, relishing the physical contact of his fur against hers.

“Mmm, it smells wonderful, Nick.” Judy said as she took in the steam from her bowl. “Where did you learn to make this?”

“This morning.” Nick replied. “I looked up some breakfast recipes for something that rabbits would eat, and I improvised for my half of it.”

“Wow, not bad, Slick.” Judy blew on the meal to cool it down. She looked over at Nick’s bowl and noticed that his was slightly different. “Are those fried crickets?” she inquired.

“Yup,” Nick acknowledged, as he popped one into his mouth like a piece of popcorn, relishing the crunch and taste of the fried insect. “I hid a package of these frozen critters in your freezer the last time I was here, just in case.” Nick winked at her.

Judy grinned at her fox boyfriend. “Sly fox,” she said as she leaned over to nudge his muzzle with her paw to reward him with a well-deserved kiss. Nick did not hesitate and met her lips with his own, yearning for a taste of her sweetness as badly as his need for coffee in the morning.

Grinning from ear-to-ear, his tail wagging after that delicious treat, he returned to his breakfast only to find a smaller pile of crickets than before. He was momentarily puzzled until he heard the unmistakable crunch of the very tidbit he had just eaten. He quickly looked over to find Judy popping another of crispy morsels into her own mouth and clearly savoring the delicacy.

“Hey! That was my breakfast!”

“Technically, Slick, since I found the package that you had hidden and replaced it with one of my own after I finished it, it’s my breakfast, too.” Judy snickered.

Nick sat there dumbfounded. Realizing that he had been hustled again by his extremely sexy bunny girlfriend, who apparently had a predator-like appetite, he chuckled. “Sly bunny.”

“You better know it.” Judy shot back with just as smug of a grin as he had ever had.

After they ate their breakfast and talked for a little bit, Judy suddenly remembered that her parents would be over today. Now she had to tell Nick. Judy finished getting dressed and went back into the open living room, finding Nick in the chair browsing through his phone.

“Hey, Nick.” she started.

Nick looked up at her. “Hey, what’s up, Carrots?”

Judy felt the guilt return. Even after last night, it was still hard to utter the words. She went over to the couch and locked her paws around his neck in a warm embrace, needing the comfort of his scent. “I…I think my parents will be here in a little bit, and…you know.”

“Oh, right, right.” Nick replied. “I should probably get going then, huh?” His voice sounded very understanding, and it made Judy feel warm on the inside.

“Yeah. But, do you wanna get together tomorrow? Maybe go to the park or something?”

“Sounds good, Carrots. I’ll see you tomorrow then, bright and early.” Nick said with a wink after giving her an understanding hug and started to walk towards the door.

“Bye.” she coyly said to him, still amazed at how big the heart of the fox that she loved was.

Nick waved to her as he opened the door, and as he was about to close it, he stopped. He looked stunned.

“You okay?” Judy asked as she walked up to the door. Looking past the doorframe, she saw her parents in the hall with slight shock on their faces. Her father had two bags in his hands, and his mouth was gaping open at the sight of the fox that had just left his daughter’s apartment. Nick and Judy looked at each other, and they knew they had some explaining to do.
Remember when I said I wasn't gonna make a part 2?

I lied Creepy Stare

No, i actually had no intent to make a part 2, but when THIS picture came out: Where is my breakfast...? I just HAD to make more fanfiction cause it's adorable as F**K! And what better way to do that than to make it a part 2 to something already adorable? :D

Special thanks to JKnight97 :iconjknight97: for helping me put this one together

What about a part 3? I'd like to read how her parents will react and how the couple will save the situation.
